The SuperMarito (the super husband) is how I imaged the supermarket in the future.

The SuperMarito would be system to shopping in to supermarket in a new and lighter way. A touchscreen would replace shopping trolley and an automatically payment system wuold replace the counter.

The SuperMarito (the super husband) is how I imaged the supermarket in the future. Go shopping is not always a relaxing experiance, actually often it is quite stressfull. But we have to go to the supermarket at least once a week. The supermarket not-lovers tend to go there as least as possible, so they go out full of goods and more irritate. The shopping trolley provided by the supermarket are quite haevy and cumbersome. Sometime they are too big to transporte a daily shop but to small for the weekly one. They are not the only one problem, the costante queue on the counter discorage the neligent customer. He has at the end to carry haevy bags, which bounce and hit the shins and knee step after step.

The SuperMarito consist in another enjoyable way to shopping. Instade to use the trolley the customer will receve a screen before the entrance. To receve one of those the customer has to inser his credit card.

Do the shopping will become easier. The customer has just to touch the desirable goods and drag it into the SuperMarito. A specific sound will give the feedback to understand the product is correctly draged into the system.

The SuperMarito will show the selected producted and he will put it intelligently: the stronger and haevy stuff below, contrary the light and fragile things on the top (the arrangement of the goods)

In case people do not want a selected product anymore, the only thing to do is to click twice on the product and drag it out of the screen. (the customer removes producteds)

At the end of the shop the SuperMarito has to been introduced into the automatic boxes and draw the credit card. The payment will made automatically and the shop will send at home. The SuperMarito was designed during the Disegno course taught by Masaiko Kubo, Venice University IUAV, 2006/07 Treviso.
